Impression Instructions:

1. Make sure you brush your teeth and wash your hands with anti-bacterial soap. Let your hands completely dry before proceeding.

2. In your impression kit you should have sealed bags of putty: 2 blue and 2 white putty, along with two different size trays. Select the tray that best fits your mouth. It is important to make sure that all of your teeth fit inside the impression tray.

Note: We suggest to use the row of teeth that are in better overall condition or on the row of teeth that have had the most dental work.

3. Practice putting the tray in your mouth a few times. If the trays provided in your kit are unsuitable for the size of your mouth or if you have any issues making your impression, please go to the Contact Us section in our website and fill out the contact form to let us know.

4. Use a stopwatch to time the process, as these steps are time sensitive. Mix both the blue & white putty. Knead for 45 seconds. Use all of your fingers to mix and knead the putty together at a medium pace into a uniform blue color.  (as seen in image to the right)

5. After mixing you now have an additional 45 seconds to prep & roll the putty material into a tubular shape. Place and pack it down into your impression tray, pull off any excess putty hanging off the trays.

6. When you reach the 1:30 minute mark on your timer, using a mirror, place the impression into your mouth centering your front teeth near the center front of the putty material, but not too close to the front edge of the tray. All of your teeth should be touching the putty at same time when pushing up or down.

Using your thumbs straight out underneath the left and right side of the tray for an upper impression. Use your pointer fingers towards the back left and right top of the tray and your middle fingers towards the front of the tray for a lower impression.

Be sure to push directly straight up/down applying an even level of pressure until the putty covers the full length of ALL of your teeth including the back molars. Once putty starts to rub against your gum area do not push up/down any further. You do not want to press too deep or go to the bottom of the tray. Pull out your lip, then using your finger push the access putty against your gums for full coverage. Do Not Bite Down. Do not move or rock the impression, keep the tray LEVEL.

Hold the tray stable for an additional 3:30 more minutes without any motion. Before removing tray assure that the putty has set and becomes hard. Total time on your timer should be 5:00 minutes.

7. Once your putty is set, remove the tray from your mouth by pulling in a straight upward/downward motion using the handle. Do not wiggle the tray to remove. Rinse the impression under cold water and air dry completely. Do not remove the putty material from the impression tray.
